The sunshade deployment was completed several days ago. As were the
secondary mirror and radiator deployments. Still to come is the primary mirror unfolding.

There will be several months of calibration and checkout before
first light.

Senior System Programmer / Semipro opera singer / Textual editor (not as
in vi or emacs, but as in Tolkien and Gordon preparing their edition of
“Syr Gawayn and the Grene Knyȝt”). No degree, though, in any of them;
Comp. Sci., back in those days, was a couple of courses in the Appl.
Math department. Anyway, yeah, I’m a borderline autistic nerd, myself.
