It's another jungle adventure romantic comedy and it hit all the
expected notes and one trope led to another right up to the totally
predictable ending. So was it any good? Well, yeah, if you're stuck on
a transatlantic flight and want to kill a couple of hours it'll hold
your attention. Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum worked well together
and Harry Potter played the cartoonish bad guy as believably as a
cartoonish bad guy can be played and Brad Pitt appeared briefly but
memorably. Watch it if you have nothing better to do. There are worse
movies out there.

I got a very "Romancing The Stone" vibe from the trailer. Is that
accurate? Of course, that was a *good* movie, so apparently not?

I am pretty sure I have never seen “Romancing the Stone“ but from what
little I know about that movie I would say you are making a valid
comparison. So sure, go ahead and give it a watch. If you like one, you
might like the other.

Not so. I saw Romancing The Stone in first run on a date. She picked the movie. It's an adventure romcom and done really well. The leads had chemistry and dialog. The Lost City doesn't have much and is considered a "unofficial" remake. Romancing The Stone is entertaining, The Lost City isn't.

Hey, at least your consistent: movies are either "good" or "bad" with
nothing in between. The way a child thinks.
