A copy of the Marvel/Sunbow Transformers Series Bible went up for auction recently and pulled $790 US:

It's the one dated May 10, 1984. Copies surface and go up for sale every few years. Back in 2010 RonFriedman sold his copy through Heritage Auctions and it pulled $836.50:

The copy that recently sold on ebay was from the collection of game designer/fantasy author James Ward. The auction description has a little anecdote about how he got the TF series bible after getting in contact with the Transformer people. He wrote a pitch to them about "a Japanese human made ninja Transformer and it fights the other Transformers". And then he relates how later he saw Enter the Nightbird and he got sad.

Very cool. I love how copies just exist out there, in the ether...

By "got sad", what do you mean? Just curious.

I wonder how many other copies are out there?

Well he wrote that he was "not happy" about it so I figured he was sad. Could'a been that he was mad or sad and mad. But the implication was that his 'ninja Transformer made by humans' idea was stolen and used and he wasn't happy about it.

I guess every Marvel/Sunbow writer who worked on the show, everyone directly involved in an editorial capacity, and every freelance writer who pitched an idea got a copy. So, probably at least two dozen I'd guess.
