so it's really tiny, it transforms, and it's stupid reasons like this is always why I want to get a 3D printer but know I'll quickly run out of printables.

I love the design. The accuracy and faithfulness to the G1 toy is extraordinary. But, at such a tiny scale, the 3D printing artifacts are awful. All those jagged edges and print lines. Especially the guns in tank mode. Ugh. We need better 3D printers on this planet.

Yeah, this was obviously made on a cheap printer, with limited sanding. I'd be getting a resin printer which are much better and more precise with much less artifacting
