I seem to recall reading here that de Camp's _Rogue Queen_ was once
released with a cover proclaiming its title to be _Rouge Queen_. A
general web search and a check of de Camp's entry at the ISFDB both
came up empty.

Is my memory mistaken? If not, does anybody have a link to support it?
Preferably to a cover image.

I remember reading that also. It might had been the spine or the inside
title page (my copy, Ace F-333 doesn't have the error).

It's said that the 1985 re-issue by Bluejay Books has
that on the spine, which isn't shown here.
<http://www.isfdb.org/wiki/index.php/Image:BKTG01196.jpg>

But the front side does give the author's name as
L. Spraque de Camp.

Several discussions of the book online independently
make one or both of these errors upon /any/ edition.

I have seen an image of the misspelled cover, but I don't own a
copy (my pb copy is properly spelled If ISFDB can't help you, I
don't know what to suggest.

Was "Sprague" misspelled on the spine? I think that is a "g" on the
front cover since the foot is aimed to the left (both occurrences of"p"
has the foot aimed to the right).

No, because <http://www.isfdb.org/wiki/index.php/Image:BKTG01196.jpg>
also says "Illustrated by Philip Hagopian" with a two loops 'g'.

I honestly can't recall. I'll see if I can find the book. No promises.

....I think I was unclear. I meant, "No, that is not a g for Sprague
on the front cover. It should be, but it isn't."
