The figures look great. I am absolutely blown away by the Alligaticon. "City of Steel" is arguably the worst G1 Transformers episode ever, and yet I find myself absolutely longing to own a representation of this thing. It's so beautiful. The sculpt is 100% dead on to the design, and the cute little add-ons are perfect (the Battle Taxi, Optimus Prime's severed head and arm). I almost want to buy a miniature model of the Empire State Building just so I can mount Prime's arm to the top of it now.

G2 Megatron looks surprisingly good. As I had hoped, they basically cribbed the entire design from his appearance in the G.I. Joe comics. I love that he comes with multiple heads, including one with a blue face and one with a purple face. Another slam dunk.

Wreck-Gar is arguably a little less necessary in people's collections, if only because the studio series toy is so very good. It gives you very nearly this level of screen authenticity, and plus it can transform. But, apparently Hasbro doesn't share their plans with Super7 when it comes to which products Hasbro themselves are planning on producing, so you can't really fault Super7 for this. The figure is very good, and I love the add-ons that he comes with, but this would have been a much more impressive addition to people's collections if it had come out like a year ago.

I personally have no interest in Tarn, but that's just me.

Love the G2 Megatron. But since nitpicking is the right of all sentient beings, I'll just add that they missed the opportunity to include a Bludgeon head to recreate that iconic comic cover referencing Hamlet...

Okay, here's my thinking. We know a Bludgeon figure is coming. Maybe the head is detachable? If it is, maybe you can plug the bundle of wiring from the decapitated Optimus Prime into the Bludgeon head? If that's the case, that would be awesome.

These are looking better and better. It's the price of a Leader-class figure for characters that haven't gotten great representation, and I'm talking Bludgeon. His tank mode isn't particularly iconic, so the lack of transforming isn't a deal breaker. It's either that or a Voyager-sized Optimus Prime with a cheapo trailer in the wrong colors to be Scourge.

Ultimates Allagaticon, G2 Megatron, Wreck-Gar, and Tarn are all $32.99 now at Entertainment Earth. That's like HALF off wave 3's original retail. Ultimates Tracks, Bludgeon, and Grimlock are $27.50 each there, too.

Huh. I paid full price for wave one, but I skipped everything subsequent just because I couldn't justify fifty-five dollars a pop for these stupid things. I may consider going after them now. Thanks for the info!
