Ok, warnings done

Well episode 1 was a 1 hour special with a lot of commercials on Paramount Plus.

So it's aimed at the same audience as the RiD2015 series, young adults but slightly serious plot line.

Starts out with a short battle between Swindle, his brother Hardtop(Clearly inspired by his Cybertron toy), and Optimus and Elita, which then has some spiders interfere. Robot spiders with really big heads.

Cut to the family, 2 kids 2 parents , the kid not happy about the limited phone reception in the podunk town of Witwicky, which is apparently a place in Pennsylvania. Robby is attempting to run away from home on his bike, and sister Mo follows until they're in the middle of a battle of spider bots and mysterious trucks on what is the bridge out of town.

The kids get knocked off the bridge, and see a big glowing cave. Mo pikes a large rock on the cave floor and breaks the floor, and they're dropped into a cave. The cave has a crystal, which they knock over pretty easily. When they go to out it back where it was it puts gloves on each kid and spouts 2 Cybertronians.

The kids know the bots names and the bots know the kids name, and the gloves apparently share emotions. Twitch blasts a spider bot and the kid and bots walk back to town.

In the morning the mother "Dot" (who moves the family to town to be a park ranger) finds the vehicles on the bridge, and is met by Optimus and Elita One. She's pissed at Optimus (He knocked down her traffic cones) and everything is unacceptable until a dual rotor VTOL helicopter arrives and transforms into Megatron. Apparently Megatron and Dot are good friends. It seems the trucks were a part of GHOST, a government organization that Megatron Optimus and Elita One work for, and Dot also works for but not to her knowledge until now. Optmus decides to send out drones, and opens the trailer, so we have an Optimus who uses his trailer.

The new Transformers are still silver protoforms. the kids are wandering around in the forest and while Twitch blasted a spider before she can't seem to get the blaster working now until Robbie surprises her by throwing something at her. Then the drones come, and Twitch manages to copy one of the drones, while blasting it. The drone is disabled? Maybe? Robbie seems to repair it.

When one drone doesn't return Elita One tells Optimus they need to tell Wheeljack the drones suck, so Twitch is apparently some kind of Cybertronian drone then? Not an Earth mode?

The mechanical spider show up in town, they're controlled by a shadowy figure who is stealing Hardtop's arm.

The kids meet up in an alleyway and end up surrounded by spiders, and are rescued by Elita one and Optimus and mom finds out they're harboring unregistered Cybertronians. Big trouble. A transport from Ghost arrives and carts them off to a government facility, except the transport is driven by the same shadowy figure that botnapped Hardtop. The real Ghost transport arrives and everyone is dismayed they just gave away two Cybertronians.

Dotsteps in and says she's taking over, the kids can sense direction through emotion somehow with their gloves. They track down Twitch and Thrash, who are in a giant warehouse strapped to beds, where the shadowy figure calls them Cybertrnian Terrans, and in response Thrash dubs the figure Mandroid which is not accepted well. Optimus, Megatron, and Dot bust in the warehouse, where Thrash dubs the enemy Mandroid for all to hear. Big battle, during which Thrash gets thrown into a junk pile and gains his alt mode of a silver motorcycle. We see Skullcruncher, who is identified by name, and transforms, and we see Shrapnel and Bombshell, who aren't named and don't transform.. After a pretty detailed battle Mandroid escapeds and all the Decepticons were mind controlled and didn't have any awareness of the fight.

Overall they play Twitch and Thrash having limited knowledge pretty well, the bots are instantly recognizable(except Megatron is quite different) and most of the personalities are what we'd expect. The show wasn't bad overall..
