Five SF Works About Fighting Crime in Space
https://www.tor.com/2022/05/10/five-sf-works-about-fighting-crime-in-space/

What it says on the tin, although it should say "classic" or "old" or
"is there evidence James has read anything in the last 40 years?" Inspired
by recent legislation ending the golden age of Canadian space piracy.

I have read "Space Cadet", "Galactic Patrol", and "Star Rangers". I do
not recognize the others.

I am surprised that you did not mention the first "The Day The Earth
Stood Still" movie.

And of course, there are hundreds of books about fighting crime in
space. Especially if you consider invasion by space aliens to be a
crime, that brings in "Footfall" and many others.

"Prisoner Zero will vacate the human residence or the human
residence will be incinerated!" also comes to mind.

Perhaps Who is that might be a better question, containing it's own answer.

It's from Doctor Who. Matt Smith's first story,
"The Eleventh Hour". This time, there's... a crack
in the universe. Everywhere. And specifically
in the bedroom wall of an Earth child called
Amelia Pond, where an alien known only as
"Prisoner Zero" seems to have escaped through
the crack from a space prison into the bedroom,
but of course didn't stay there.

Fast forward and the jailers, the Atraxi, are in
orbit over Earth demanding that Prisoner Zero
vacates the human residence. But they don't
mean the house. They mean the planet.

It's all somewhat more complicated. But that
part is a wee bit like what was going to happen
in _The Day The Earth Stood Still_.

Ah. Not a Dr. Who fan. I have tried and just lose interest quickly.

Thanks for the explanation.
