Twincast & Autobot Rewind (Kingdom Blaster retool)

Not quite a straight redeco of Kingdom Blaster, there's a little
retooling. I suppose the Blaster I got at Ollie's for purposes of dyeing
Eject black won't get used for that after all.

CAPSULE

$35 at Walmart.

Twincast & Autobot Rewind: Original mold was recommended. This is a
good Headmasters-cartoon-accurate redeco with a new head, recommended.

RANT

Packaging: Same was the previous wave (Tarn and Leo Prime). One reason
I didn't get around to what would otherwise be a pretty quick review for a
while was that the QR code was inactive until April, and I didn't want to do
a review without that info.

Tiwncast has the ability to detect any radio signal, no matter the
strength or frequency. Rewind can store any amount of data in his
high-capacity memory banks.

These are G1 Twincast's numbers. The Evo-Fusion is not mentioned on the
website, but the box back indicates that it is the ability to store the gun
on the back of radio mode as an antenna.

Packaging: Three twisted and taped rattan strings hold Twincast to the
backing tray. Rewind is held in the lower left by one twisted and tied
string. The rifle is held in by a folded out flap of cardboard in the lower
right.

Color Swaps: Red becomes medium blue, light gray becomes very light gray
that's almost white, clear blue becomes clear gray/black plastic. This all
applies to Rewind as well. Some of the black plastic stays black, but the
black plastic becomes red on the fists, speaker cones, toes, and boom box
handle halves.

Paint Apps: In robot mode, the face is yellow, the eyes metallic blue,
and the forehead the same silver as on Blaster (interesting decision, since
the animation model has it the same very light gray as the buttons and legs).
The tape door is mostly painted bright yellow, with clear red on the window
part and a red on white Autobot symbol on his right. The shoulder-front bits
that are painted black on Blaster are metallic blue here. The hip front
details are the same red as on Blaster. The handle halves on the sides of
the boots are painted black with almost-white at the hinges.
In radio mode, add red paint on the smaller speaker vents above and
below the main cones, and similar black paint on the dials as on Blaster, but
less of it (just on the two big dials and some decorative lines near the
bottom.
Rewind has the same torso front gold paint as Eject had. His faceplate
is messily painted red, his eyes are metallic blue.

Mold Changes: He has a new head, and the smirking expression (including
one eye narrowed more than the other) actually feels more appropriate to
Shattered Glass than the head tooling the actual SG Blaster got (all three
releases of this base mold have different heads).
Otherwise, I didn't notice any changes to the mold.

Other Notes: If they'd really wanted to homage Twincast, they'd have
made the chest compartment twice as deep so he could hold Eject and Rewind at
the same time. :)
With Soundblaster getting a second U.S. release toy (and a non-
exclusive, at that) this year, Twincast shouldn't have surprised me, but I
did kinda expect it to be another Selects.

Overall: It's a solid mold, and a nicely obscure redeco. Worth picking
up unless you didn't actually like Kingdom Blaster.

Dave Van Domelen, might give Rewind to Blaster and dye the spare Eject
some other color as a new minion for Twincast.
