Austrian science fiction writer Herbert W. Franke (1927-2022) passed
away yesterday. He was one of the more critically well-received
and widely translated German-language SF authors, mostly active
throughout the 1960s to 1980s. He also published numerous non-fiction
books.

Personally, I think I have read none or virtually none of his works.
Maybe a short story here or there.

_The Orchid Cage_ was one of the creepier books I've ever read.
