Fortunately those robots are doubtless more pie in the sky bullshit.
But if they were real, programming robots with the three laws would be a
horrible idea if it was possible, which it (also fortunately) isn't.

I think the state of the art with respect to computers is *far* too primitive
to acquaint a robot with concepts like "harm" and "human being". I mean,
it is true that we've got artificial intelligence systems that can tell a picture
of a human being from a picture of a cow nowadays, but we're still not
quite at the point of constructing the robot of science fiction.

Even if Elon Musk has managed to produce robots that walk on two legs
without falling down.

The systems that can do this even semi-reliably in real-time still require
signifcant capacity. The one that I use at home to cut back on the noise from
my security cameras (CodeProjectAI) is running on an 8-core Ryzen system with
64GB of RAM and an RTX 3060. It still consistenly identifies roaming skunks as
people, along with certain arrangments of bushes, random objects in the garage
and the occasional accidental pattern of shadows.
An industrial robot failing to properly identify people could mean injuries
and deaths. Identifying random objects as people and taking emergency actions
to avoid them could result in costly stoppages or damage to the robots. Badly
balancing the two could result in both. And then you have the problem of
malicious actors tricking the robots for fun and profit...

Learned recently that the Boston Dynamics robots lose their software
license and hardware warranty if you use them as weapons platforms of
any sort. And they can be de-licensed remotely.

Shooty bang bang murderbot fans will be pleased to know that thanks to
Capitalism baby! there are third-party firmware vendors with replacement
software you can run on them, specifically for all your dystopian
killing-robot needs.

So that's nice.

Its likely to be very technical - the main purpose is attract technical
talent, rather than do a dog-and-pony show, but there will be coverage
of the 'Optimus' teslabot as well as progress on self-driving.

I watched the first part of the coverage (skipped the Q&A). They don't
bury the lede. The Teslabot is the first topic, and they show it walking without
aid, and demonstrating flexibility. They also showed videos of it picking up,
carrying, and placing items. It's not quite as gymnastic as the Boston Dynamics
bots, but is much more human sized, which is a stated goal. It's still early days.

The video is worth watching. As it goes on, it gets increasingly technical, so
drop off when you want.
