Her birthday was on the 24th.

I knew her mainly for "The Mysterious Shrinking House" (1970).

She divides her time between Palo Alto, California, and London. Or used to.

The original title for "The Mysterious Shrinking House" is "Mindy's Mysterious Miniature." The British title is "The Housenapper."

"Mindy found the miniature house hidden in the attic of the old barn. It was so perfect it looked like a real house - that had somehow shrunk.

"But she never guessed its terrible secret - or that she herself would be trapped inside!"

(It's not really as scary as that - besides, you have to be at least 9 to appreciate it, I think.)

Her last book was "The Black Canary" (2005):

But, even decades ago, Curry's writing was evolving in pretty amazing ways - I wish I had read some of the books. See these descriptions:

(Given the British title of her 1970 book, I wonder if there's some sort of connection? Or is her 1993 book based on a true story?)
