A few days ago I turned on the car radio, set as usual to our
local NPR station, and they were talking about books being
banned. One of the participants said something about groups
"banning books like Ulysses and Lady Chatterley's Lover."

I thought, 'Interesting crossover.' I knew what they meant
but that's what they said. Any other suggestions for
intriguing literary crossovers?

I'm not in favor of banning books; however, those are not particularly
off-the-wall choices.

The articles I have seen seem to mentioning childrens books suggesting
that people other that WASP Males might actually be human beings.

Or discussing aspects of our culture that the "culture warriors" wish
to cancel.

Well, _Skylark Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest_,
where they try curing the amoral Duquesne
with modern medicine overseen by the ruthless
Kai Winn of Bajor from out of Star Trek.
Maybe in the end they decide they'd rather
have Duquesne than have Winn.

I expect someone's unofficially done _Murder on
the Hogwarts Express_.

My all time fave for book banning is Making it with Madamoiselle, dress patterns from the women’s magazine.
