I hope it's not like the Netflix Siege cartoon, if it's from the same time period. If they tried to channel the successes of the Spiderverse animated films, but Optimus and Megatron wouldn't have the irreverence needed to spout off one liners. .

I had a friend who used to write for the Hollywood Reporter who was a massive transfan (we discovered this about each other by accident when he quoted one of Blurr's lines from the Movie and I recognised it. Such a joy.) Shame he's not still doing that, because he'd have done a much better teaser article!

I'm much more interested in this than the live action movies, but the celeb-heavy voice cast worries me (Scarlett Johannson, for example, seems like a really lazy choice for Elita One). On the other hand, Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion sounds amazing, and while I'm not sure Chris Hemsworth is the best casting for Optimus Prime, I'm now *fascinated* to see how that plays out.

But yes, I'd prefer the voices we're used to over Chris Hemsworth. I'm probably in the minority of not automatically liking everything Hemsworth. He's what ruined the 2016 Ghostbusters movie in my opinion.

I'm going to give it a chance.

My instinctive reaction was to recoil at the use of celebrity voice casting over experienced voice actors, but then I remembered that TFTM was a pioneer in the use of celebrity voices, and it turned out pretty good. Robert Stack, Leonard Nimoy, Orson Welles? Then again, the live-action films have attracted plenty of Oscar-winners without elevating the source material.
