Yes, but the odds it will due to a space rock are very low. At
least, if it is not steered into the Earth on purpose.

miss Earth next week', when it turns out that 'barely' means '8 times as far as the Moon'.

The Moon is millions of times larger than most of these 'killer asteroids',
and passes us far closer than most of them.

They don't think to write scare stories about the Moon hitting us.
