Agreed. TMIAHM is the defining book on unrest and rebellion in a scifi
book. Even the Hugo committee of 1967 agrees.

I haven't read any of his 5 examples, but I suspect that James avoided
revolts that echoed the American Revolution (which is a somewhat
atypical revolt and has many SF copies).

Well, he _alluded_ to a Heinlein novel in the category: "Who knows, perhaps
someday someone will write such a novel set on our own moon (although
our lifeless satellite seems too much a harsh mistress)."

But he is generally aiming at showing good new novels for people to consider,
not highlighting the classics of the genre that "everyone" already knows
about.
