is there a SF story in which people's dreams are recorded and broadcasted? Perhaps a satire on media and celebrity?

Here's a link to the story text:
http://duncan-text.blogspot.com/2008/10/dreaming-is-private-thing.html

To me a more interesting conceit -- with basis that's harder SF --
would be to transmit ordinary culture -- pop or high -- into the
sleeping brain with radio waves. In the history of radio almost
certainly some engineers must have tried to do this, tinkering
with various combinations of frequency and modulation. You wonder
that if they had succeeded, would we know about it?

In the Cale Plamann "Tower of Somnus" books I recently reviewed here,
aliens have set up a galaxy spanning RPG of the titular name and
those with invites (including a few humans) go into the game when they
fall asleep. Among other things the Tower is the galaxy's mechanism
for pop culture and communication as meetings in person take too long.
The mechanism is some sort of magic tech though, not radio.

Something spoken into your ear may materialise
in your dreams. _Brave New World_ may count as
an example of that; children are indoctrinated
that way.

I think I've seen fiction that portrayed commercial
advertisement into dreams, but I don't remember
where - _Futurama_ maybe. Use of goods and
services in fact and fiction media is called
"product placement". Google seems to know a
bit about dream "product placement" - explaining
the topic, I mean, not doing it I hope.
