As usual, I have read very little of their recommended list. I suppose
that I shouldn't be too surprised that their small slice of the 2022
publications that they recommend had little overlap with the even
smaller slice that I have read. But it is still a bit bothersome.

The recent trend that the novella list is dominated by Tor.com continues
(15 titles out of 27 recommended). BTW, I checked ISFDB, and it lists 18
novellas published by Tor.com in 2022 (12 of them are on Locus's list,
the other 3 on Locus's list were classified as novels in the ISFDB,
though there was doubt on one).

As been usual in the last 10 years, few stories from Analog, Asmiov's,
and F&SF appear in the recommended reading lists (though 1 novella from
F&SF and 3! stories from Analog show up - the highest number from Analog
in years, still less than F&SF and Asimov's).

I could be wrong, but it appears the great majority of the shorter
fiction were published online (there weren't very many stories from
anthologies).

I was going to cut and paste the list, then edit it down to the ones
I've read but that's a long list and it seemed like too much work.
I have read a bunch of them but not a large fraction.

I keep a list of not-tor publishers who publish novellas.
