Are there any available collections of John Campbell's
letters in book form, particularly his letters to writers?
My thanks in advance for any replies.

The first is cheap on Kindle. Thought it was free online but maybe
that was the collected editorials.

would you have a pointer to the editorials? There's one I've
been looking for [a] and would love to find it online.

[a] roughly 1975ish, where he discussed the "neutron bomb"
("enhanced radiation nuclear weapons") which was being
promoted as a way for "us" (the US) to kill off the
troops in Warsaw Pact tanks. Campbell suggested this
could backfire, as the crews would realize they'd
be dead in a week so had nothing to lose.

Thanks

Thanks again. Looks like that archive is from
the "collected book", and alas, the editorial
I want isn't there.

But fascinating reading nonetheless.

Well, it would not have been 1975 as Bova was editor by then. Or could
it have been a Bova editorial?

ISFDB has TOCs for all Analog issues (I think) with titles for the
editorials, so if you are patient you could perhaps find the correct
issue there and buy it online somewhere.

Might have been... The time frame would have been,
as I mentioned, 1975ish to 1980ish as that's when
it was being promoted...

Thanks again to everyone
