What _other_ kind of news source would consider it a major story, about
which the public must be alerted, that a museum has reacted to the outcry
about comments by J. K. Rowling of an anti-trans nature that some have
found to be bigoted?

was apparent, as was that of the museum further on down.

BTW, I live in Seattle and I don't think I've ever heard of this
particular Museum before. I remember Science & Technology from the
Days of My Youth, and may have been in the Burke once or twice.

Unless something happened very recently, that's not likely to happen
any time soon. The trial must come before the conviction, and the
conviction before the sentencing.

Of course, if he violates a restrictive order or shows contempt for
the Court that could change.

I've been to the Seattle Center a few times. Mostly when it was built
for the Seattle World's Fair in the Days of My Youth.

I remember the original from the news stories at the time. I must have
missed all the name changes. Never been in it, though.

Is it the museum or the Center that is known as "The Blob"?

It was a truly great music museum with an emphasis on Northwest
artists. Now it's just various random pop culture without a discernible
focus.

Yes it is.

But because it is indeed "in the other direction", it is not the
ideological slant of the article originally cited. I note that the
citation has now been removed. I will not sully this post by taking
the time to recover it and insert it.

Also, the ideological slant in the Salon.com article is the
ideological slant of the museum's own announcement. It is, then,
possible that the ideological slant has nothing to do with Salon.com
(in this particular case) except, perhaps, to explain why they thought
it worth reporting on.
