Biscotti, of course, are almond cookies from Italy. Thus, when a star was named Biscotti in a Star Trek-based game I play, someone commented on it in chat, saying:

To which I responded...

A single one is "biscotto", and that is just italian for "cookie", what you
call "biscotti" in Italy is "cantucci" or "cantuccini" for the smaller
version.

P.S. And, yes, it literally means "baked twice".
