In E10, we saw Heidi telling Carolyn and Carson that Danny had told her he
had put together enough votes to boot Frannie at the upcoming TC. Because Carson was one of those votes, he didn't have much to say
about the topic. But Carolyn told Frannie about the conversation and,
remarkably, claimed that Heidi had been lying to her and Carson, and
was therefore untrustworthy. This led to the misguided attempt by
Carolyn and Frannie, with only minutes to go before leaving for TC, to try to convince Lauren, Jaime, and Carson to join them in voting for Heidi. Of course, this was a bad idea, and Carolyn and Frannie ended up being the only two players who voted for her.
But Carolyn had another card that she could have played that would
have been a real game-changer. She could have played her immunity
pendant for Frannie, and the two of them could have voted for Danny.
This would have resulted in Danny, Carson, Yammy, Lauren, and Jaime's
votes not counting, and Danny being voted out 3-0. Nobody would have
sniffed it out because nobody knew that Carolyn had an immunity object.
Furthermore, if Carolyn went on to make it to F3, she could truthfully claim
that she had pulled off the biggest strategic move of the season.
IMO, at F8, there was no reason for Carolyn to save her pendant for a
a time when she might really need it. She is not going to be targeted because she is not seen as a threat to win. Even if a move is made to
break up the Tika 3, it is most likely that Carson would be the target,
rather than Yammy and/or Carolyn who would be viewed as preferred
F3 partners. So, IMO, using her pendant in the way that I have suggested would have been a low risk/potentially huge reward move. It's too bad she didn't think of it.

That would have been a huge move but I'm not so sure it would have been low risk. Didn't Carson in a confessional imply that Carolyn was on the bottom of the Tika three? Yam Yam would have felt betrayed for sure and would have joined the others to target Carolyn. If Carolyn had given Frannie her idol things might have worked out but my sense is Carolyn's holding on to it until she needs it to save her own butt. I also think she totally misread the situation and believed Lauren, Jaime, and Carson were 100% on board with the last minute plan to target Heidi. It'll be funny if Carolyn goes out with an idol in her pocket which I can see happening.
