Pisses me off that a huge amount of events have been canceled yet the
AFL has been allowed to go on its merry way, no F1 and no MotoGp yet we
have to have fucking AFL, WTF?
IMHO it reeks of corruption, too much money changing hands to cancel it,
the fans are dumb arses but I also blame the people such as the Premier
and the AFL bosses who allowed it to go ahead.

If that happens they won't do it again:-)

As long as Darren, with his overinflated ego, is in this forum, there
will always be a problem for anyone else posting here who happens to be
an independent thinker. As for posting here on automotive topics, been
there, done that.

The Fraudster fails to recognise the absurdity of him asking a question,
even a hypothetical one, of someone who's in his mighty (snigger) killfail.
He's like that is Der Der.

Well, there is that...

I don't know why he's here. Just about all he's done is tell people how
inferior they are and that he's his own man. The first part has been a
complete failure and the second part can be explained by the fact that
no-one wants him. The only thing that he's achieved is to give a shedload
of aged cliches a rickety gallop in the fallow paddock of his vocabulary.

Atm I'm sticking with my first theory, that he's been punted from The
Stationary Aeroplane Society and is seriously cranky about it. Meh.

Maybe you have but it would only represent a couple of percent of your

I`ve been keeping an eye on Lloyds live auctions for a few months, and
the last one had the prices of the more 'ordinary' vehicles dropping
considerably.

The *one offs* etc. are still pulling big $$$$ but a lot of the
others were getting passed in whereas nearly everything with wheels (and
some without) was selling a few months ago.

The prices will eventually return to some kind of "normal", but at the
moment people are going bananas and putting stupid reserves on everything.

Like these unicorn riding knobs for example:

Some people are just away with the fairies. The trouble is that while
prices jump up and then return as realism starts to bite, they become a
little like the price of petrol in that they jump up a lot and drop down
a little so the price they eventually fall to becomes the new benchmark.

How do oil companies get everyone to happily pay $1.50 a litre for
petrol? Set it at $1.80 for a week or so and *then* drop it back to
$1.50 and suddenly that $1.50 seems cheap :)

Its all over the place, maybe supply of new cars has improved so the
demand for SH has dropped off?
My sister waited 5mths for her new Corolla earlier this year which must
have hurt sales and pushed buyers towards SH.

$60k for a Datsun ute is nuts although its one thing to ask that price
but another to get it, be interesting to know what those cars actually
sell for.

Even more difficult to understand is why our local fuel prices are the
cheapest in the state and why 10-15km closer to the city the price can
be 30cpl more.
Lots of people we know who live in Melton used to drive to BM to fill
up, the price difference made it worthwhile.
We usually fill our cars with 98 and its often cheaper than 91 just down
the road so I'm certainly not complaining:-)

The odd thing about Keith is that he uttered nary a word when Darren and
the FLCJC were going hammer and tongs *at me*. Of course, with me not
being one to back down, the *blowback* ended up blasting Darren in the
face when all his grandiose claims turned out to be *just lies*, even
those claims I hadn't given much thought to, like his AME apprenticeship
for instance. The more he waffled on about it, the more it became
evident even that claim was bullshit. That's why Darren's long been
harping on about *experience* and *relevance* of which he definitely has
neither.

Ah, his primary protagonist (Darren) is sheltering in a dark corner
these days so he is on the search for another.
