I know we've been told that ... but the Germans, Chinese and others are going to
be burning coal for several decades to come, nobody seems to be thanking us for
having shut most of our coal down already, even the ones where we fitted the
flue gas scrubbers.

hydrogen, and propose to use the hydrogen to power the Kirkwall to
Shapinsay ferry.

That can be said of pretty much every type of renewable energy. I'm
very much in favour of such schemes, but none provide a magic bullet.
