So you're advocating going back to finishing education, starting work
and retiring just in time to have a couple of years before dying?

Far better for children not to be born than to suffer illnesses, early
deaths, early bereavements. Protect those that are already here and cut
down own additions. That is the thistle than the world has refused to
grasp for decades. The developed nations already have birth rates well
below replacement levels - yet populations continue to rise, as we
import more people and the lesser developed nations continue to have too
high birth rates.
