Steve Loukes V-Max[1] that I bought (and subsequently killed) that shows the number plate? I've acquired a model of the bike that I'd like to finish as a representation of a bike that I really loved right up until it tried to kill me, but I can't find any old documentation.

I know one of five reg's for vehicles I currently own. One bike
finishes with a 95 and the other starts with EQ and the Solex starts
with FT. That's it.

Mind you, I know the plate of the Z200 I bought in the first year of
6th form (VDD 47S), the Z400 I bought in 2nd year pf 6th form (LAN
614P), the Z650 I bougth in my first year at uni (VGJ 86R), but only
the letters from the Z750 I bought in my second year at uni [1] (OFD
???W). After that, it all gets a bit vague...

I've no idea of the reg plates of *any* of my current bikes :-(

I've not been asked "is this your vehicle?" for 40+ years, mostly here I get
waved through[1] the occasional traffic stops as they're mainly looking for
those that don't pay their road tax. The only time I had my docs checked was
close to the Thai border in a mass stop, once it was ascertained the bikes was
taxed and my licence had a picture of a motorcycle on it I was golden.

A quick search via Google Groups shows that you've posted the reg of
your Z200 a total of 8 times since 2000.

A former boss of mine was stopped by the police driving a car that he'd
just bought. They asked him the registration number so he got out,
walked round to the front of the car, and read it off the numberplate.

I only know three of my eight vehicles: 596DXX, which has been on my Herald coupe since it was registered in April 1962; 597DXX, which I got for the Herald convertible when I registered it in New York State; and WHU, on Karen's Tesla, for obvious reasons.
