I need a new front disc for the Peg.

Chioces are ;-

* Aprilia £300
* EBC (via SportsbikeShop) £100
* GoldFren (via Ebay) £60

While the natural thing is to go for the EBC disc the pattern does not
match the current one.

<url:https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/motorcycle/aprilia/pegaso-650-ie/1999-2004/2012714>

And the SportsbikeDirect picture shows wrong nunber of bolt holes.

<url:https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/51414>

The GoldFren one looks correct.
<url:https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115382056931>

So, GoldFren anygood, or will they just melt?

I've used their brake pads in the past. They worked adequately.

You're not using it on a particularly challenging application so I'd guess it would be
'ok'. If it was me I'd go with the EBC for an extra 40 quid but if it doesn't fit for whatever
reason I'd certainly not spend 300quid on an OE disk.

I've been using Goldfren pads on the 1290's and just fine they are, while being a third of the price of Brembo, most recently GP5 race pads.
It's an American company whose primary business is aircraft brake systems. I wouldn't hesitate to use their discs...if I kept a bike long enough.

Ah, well. Ordered the EBC now, only to find they have a manufacturing
issue (can't get the metal apparently).

So, if not arrived by next month I may go for the GoldFren after all.
