I wonder if Starmer ends up being 'sort of' like Kinnock in that he
changes Labour but never gets to head a government.

I think Starmer is perceived as lacking a personality or exhibiting passion.
Can't explain it but the enthusiasm seems to evaporate around him.
I think he's competent and would lead the country far better than the current
crowd but in today's world, is that enough for the electorate?

Labour has a better front bench than it's had for years so there are options.
Maybe the best outcome would be for Starmer to go and Streeting to be
considered for leader (although I think he's a bit too young)?

Wes Streeting is 40 next birthday so not much younger than Blair who was 41
when he became leader, 43 when becoming PM.

Cameron was 34 when becoming leader and also 43 when becoming PM.

Starmer made some moves, keep walking in a good direction and dump Mahmood and Dodds, who has replaced Burgon as "most annoying".
Not that I think there will be salvation for and from either of the main parties.
