I brushed my hand against my USB charger while it was charging my 'phone
and I nearly burnt my fingers :-(

It is a Gvoo Quick Charge 3.0 USB Charger, [Qualcomm Certified] 36W, I
probably though it was Qualcomm when I bought it three years ago, wrong
again.

If I'm here it's OK but I'm a bit wary about leaving it on while I'm out
now. Any suggestions as to a decent quick charger of similar spec that
won't burn me please?

I've been going with Anker stuff for my charging needs, no issues in
years (I had a 5-port charger that would stop charging the first iPhone
if you plugged in a second, but would start again and charge both if you
replugged the first one - they sent me a new 6-port one for free, kept
the old one).

Or Apple ones, which tend to come with my Apples because I'm not paying
that just for a charger :) They are good though, I was using my MacBook
Pro USBC charger to run a soldering hotplate the other day. Didn't even
warm the charger.

Cheers - Jaimie

+1 for Apple stuff, although beware of fakes from Amazon et al.
(and be wary of no-brand chargers for similar reasons).

This site is good for charger reviews because they do proper electrical
testing:
https://lygte-info.dk/info/ChargerIndex%20UK.html
In particular note the 'deathtrap' symbols...

It's also worth keeping an eye on what fast charging standard your phone
supports - that might be standard USB-PD, but there's also different
variations of Qualcomm QC and then whatever Huawei, Xiaomi and friends dream
up.

I'm really pleased with this:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273889578703

All their stuff (e.g. cables) is good quality.

After several minutes reflection, I can confirm that
"All their stuff (e.g.) cables are good quality"
....would have been worse.

(I should get out more perhaps.)
