I watched out for the Autumn Covid Booster
Announcement and when it was made I was straight
on the booking website which was overloaded until
Monday afternoon. I booked a slot for Thursday
2.40 at a local pharmacy.

Because I never believed any of the conspiracy theories.
That Covid was deliberately engineered to infect people
so that Governments could manufacture consent for lockdowns
and social control - yes there will always a few million
unfortunate innocent casualties same as with any war.
Or that the vaccine has been deliberately engineered to
make people docile maybe not right now but in a few years
time when its too late to do anything about it.

No obviously all that was rubbish. So I turned up at the
pharmacy at 2.39 for my "appointment" all masked up in
my P2 mask to be confronted by a long queue of people
inside the surgery packed like sardines; none of whom were
wearing masks including any of the six or seven young or
youngish assistants. These were people who it turned out were
allowed to walk in without appointments. Who presumably
had only turned up because they thought their immunity was
waning, and thus were vulnerable. And here were the
six or seven assistants who may have been carriers themselves
potentially filling the atmosphere with virus the door
being closed throughout.
However I kicked up such a fuss to be met with "but masks
aren't obligatory" "even for staff ?" that I was able to
jump the queue that shouldn't have been there in the
first place.

But then I was forgetting. Previous boosters but one,
had been in local health centres. Strictly by appointment,
only, large rooms, spaced out seats and everyone wearing masks.
But that's all gone. In my area at least. Now its all
pharmacists none of whose premises are designed for
this type of operation. With no waiting area for walk ins
for a start.

Now its just not exactly bums on seats but rather needles in
arms ! The more the better ! Maybe it is all is a big scam after
all ! This time they never even gave me a bit of cotton wool to put
on my arm afterwards until I asked.

How do you know that the younger people didn't have the appropriate conditions,
or that they weren't carers for those who did?

I got my booster this afternoon. (Pfizer)
Quite by chance I discovered that the pharmacy at the local health practice was
offering walk-in vaccinations for eligible people. Several other pharmacies nearby
were doing the same. No advertising apart from notices plastered around the
health practice.

The younger people in question were all *working* in the Pharmacy.
They were *staff*, either working behind the counter or shepherding
people around.

And *none* of them were wearing masks.

So what is the point in *anyone* booking if the first place ? If when
they turn up the place is going to be crowded out with walk-ins, Whether
eligible or not. Again, none of whom were wearing masks

It was almost like walking into a Covid transmission facility.

If I hadn't been wearing my P2 mask/respirator as I still do in supermarkets
I would have walked out, there and then

That doesn't mean that they can't instead use a pharmacy that is
providing a walk-in service. The NHS App gave me a choice of both
walk-in and pre-booked pharmacies.

I fear that the NHS has reverted to their normal chaotic management. I've
found the mask wearing never ever happens in surgeries or pharmacies, so
have stopped wearing them also. The problem will come when the next
infectious disease comes along, and we all will have to wear them again. I
have to say though, that I find it odd that my cleaner has not been invited
despite being in and out of vulnerable peoples houses for her work.

What would the mask prevent them from 'spreading' ?

Apart from yet another variant,covid-19 seems to have
temporarily fizzled out, for now.

If you listen to BBC Inside Health then STD clinics,
notably in London are seeing a huge rise in the number
of cases of Syphilis.

QED It isn't a mask that many people should be wearing.
