To err is human. To really foul things up requires a computer and the BOFH.

That reminds me of a far off land lost in time when I was a student; the campus was all 50's rectilinear buildings tastefully strewn across some acres, and with similar right angled paths; but us lazy students walked diagonally across the grass. This got muddy and so the Vice Chancellor (or whoever decides these things) finally caved in & got some contractor to put in paving slabs. Anyhow, the slabs had been delivered awaiting the pave-laying lot to do their bit. The slabs were stacked vertically like in a toast rack, with 45 degree buttresses at each end.

Some joker (not me, sadly) stuck a note to the middle "The Oppression of the Masses by Capitalist System" (or somesuch).

Time for a reminder about a book. The Psychology of Learning Mathematics by
Richard Skemp. The first half of the book is a psychology text written by a
mathematician. The second half is a maths textbook written by a psychologist.

I was talking to a local butcher before the last boom/bust, he was
telling me that he had received an offer for his small business that he
couldn't understand, so he sold, and went back to the shop later, and
discovered how the new owner could make money.

Do you know what newly butchered boar's taste like?. The shop is now
empty with front window broken. Sad.
