The sig says it all and neither of those is currently a runner.
8 years and 6x KTM 1290 of which 7 were Superdukes.
3 were bullet proof, 1 was passable and 2 were trash.
The Super Adventure S was a stoopid mistake.

~90,000 miles. Total cost including servicing, excluding fuel, pads and (a lot of) tyres ~£30,000. It's not even the cost of an average car (1). £3,750 a year for stellar level of fun and law breaking? bargain!

Favourite tyre Power 5, least so Pirelli GT.

If you can wangle (wrangle?) a Gen 3 Superduke (2020 on) you really should, IMHO the best road going motorcycle to date, at least score a demo (I'm excluding new litre sprotbikes Mr E). With all the electronics bar ABS permanently off (obviously!) it's best described as a "very violent motorcycle". But with premium suspension and handling, comfort, excellent pillion perch and soft luggage options.

Replacement is uncertain yet.

I was considering 890 Duke R or 890 Adventure, both of which are astoundingly good.
I had the latter as a courtesy replacement and well over 1000 miles, including some green lanes, was unexpectedly taken with it.
But then again on a quick run through our playgrounds there was no keeping up, mainly tyres (21" front), whereas the Superduke set the pace.

I was indeed when the Superduke went ahead of replacement. What a very good bike it is.
Not now and nursey is in attendance. It needs to go home.
