Hmm, That was what I thought I'd done. Since its a Microsoft product, I
guess anything can happen. I may have to find a way to use Tbird at some
time if everyone goes 2 factor authentication like Google are threatening to
do on gmail, as I have no idea what older versions of Microsoft clients
will do.
Its a great pity that you cannot configure Third to use the same hot keys
as Micorsoft do. After all keys like control a C X v etc, are often
supported but the other keys seldom are.
Muscle memoory is great until you need to change horses so to speak.

It may well be possible but GTK key binding customisation is not
for the faint hearted - I certainly wouldn't attempt it with any confidence.

Again, the sensible ones do. I knew a man that had a bookie business,
and forgot to lay off a suspect bet. Its a fairly savage business. My
friend dies later in NYCity. I think lotto and all that is really a

Only last night I loaded a bunch of Scott stories onto my mp3 player
to listen to while I am out and about.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000yv53/episodes/guide

They are not available on line at the moment: I downloaded them a
while ago but only just got the appropriately shaped tuit. You
wouldn't believe how much catching up I have to do with my listening.

Yep - the best gambling deal in the country is prize bonds, on
average over a long period and many bonds you only lose the difference
between inflation and the tiny amount of interest allocated to payouts.

Lotto on average you lose 50% unless they've got greedier since I
last checked - a colleague with a mob lawyer uncle commented on the
difference between the lotto and the numbers game as run by the mob - the
mob could never get away with odds that bad. Even one armed bandits are
better (unless that's changed) last I knew they were required to pay out
75% on average.

Golden rule of gambling - on average you lose. To win consistently
you need to know something the bookies don't (cf. hole in one gang) which
jbexes until they catch on.

Funny you should write that, my nephew visited on saturday, and was
saying that. I retorted a story of a man I knew that had a block of
property forcibly taken over by a council and was compensated for it,
around 5,000 pounds or so, in the middle 50's. He was dying in the 90's
and I was given the job of minding and rationalizing his affairs, and
there it was, the 5,000 pounds in Prize bonds.

If he had reinvested the money straight in the 50's, it would be worth
millions in the 90's. I pointed this out to him. All he said was

``Im dying. What the hell does it matter to me.?''

He died and it turned out that he left all his money to a spurious
charity.

(Perhaps I should point out at this point that I am not a lawyer)

I dislike rugby. My nephew was chosen (Yes, he was one of the chosen :)
for one of the top teams here. He was a small lad, but full of fire. As
part of curing that, he was put on a body-building diet, reacted to it,
and come down with such a bad case of spots that his face is still
slightly scarred from it. Once at a funeral he refused to even leave
the car in case people thought it was worse than just spots,

I told him to tell people that he was afflicted with bubonic plague. He
was not amused.

I have always loved rugby and regret that I was never very good at it.

Was taught the game by Bryn Meredith, Welch hooker back then, who was
our PT master at fpubby in the 50s.

I've seen him score a try with about six sixth formers hanging on to his
ankles that he dragged along with him.

My greatest memory is ankle tapping him in a masters vs boys game. He
passed the ball to the head master who scored as he fell and said "Effin
'ell Haynes! Where did you learn that?"

"You taught me, sir!" I stated.

"Effin 'ell, boyo. I'm a great teacher, ain't I?"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bryn_Meredith

Every exercise in the gym was with a rugby ball.

Bryn had a wardrobe in the gym tied to the wallbars. You opened it and
thirty rugby balls fell out. After our PT lesson, we were instructed to
put them all back in t'wardrobe. Of course we couldn't. But the next
lesson always found them back in the cupboard.

It took us a long while to jbex out how he did it.

Of course he removed the wardrobe from the wallbars, and laid it on it's
back and filled it!

Played for the school team and a couple of naval establishments. I
played at No 8, back of the scrum, but I was never fast enough to be
really useful. Never scored a try in me life, but others did from me
passes off the back of the scrum. (Can't do that now. It's up to the
scrum half).

Great game for amateurs. Maybe a little too 'knights jousting and Roman
arena', professionally.

I never understood why they don't make skull protection compulsory.

Odd fact, when Ireland split in 1921 or so, the soccer organization
split as well, but rugby did not, I think because it was regarded as a
`upper class' thing, mostly played by men in upper class collages.
Except in Limerick City, where it is definately a game for all classes.

Royal bit has been dropped South of the Border.

I always thought it odd, climbers, cyclists, motorcyclists etc protect
their brains from harm. Boxers however seem to protect their crown
jewels, or is that where they keep their brains.

bare-knuckle fighting was less dangerous in terms of head injuries, as
heads are very solid things to hit and bare-knuckle fighters would hit
the body instead.
