On a UKRM group ride in France 2019 it reached 42c on the way to Si's gaff. My first experience of and it wasn't a good one. There is no escape, I'll take winter rides in Northern Europe with Mr Gerbing any time.

All vents closed, pouring bottles of water down the neck to keep a shirt soaked was the only way to keep going.

I've been in the Sahara since and understand why the nomads dress as they do, covering up completely in white. Although I rented an air conditioned Shogun, not a fucking camel.
