I'm attending another virtual tech conference this week, because all of
the industry leaders are still sensibly too gunshy to attempt hosting live
events with international attendance. Doesn't seem to stop the people
trying to run gaming or comic book shows though, which tells you something
about our collective priorities.

Skyrim (Switch) - So many bugs. There are parts of Skyrim where the name
of the area is incorrectly or sloppily reported, so sometimes it's 'Dragon
Lair 3' because the flag to hide the information from the player isn't
checked. In this case there's a 'Sons of Skyrim Military Camp' that shows
up randomly, even if you're in a temple or a Wispmother lair or in the
middle of the ocean. If only I hadn't decided to do the Legendary stat
thing with my smithing and archer, I'd have no further excuse to keep
playing.

Lost Judgment (PS4) - I'm actually finding myself afraid to start the game
proper. The opening tutorial mission kicks off when I talk to my detective
agency partner dude, and all I'm doing is running around Kamurocho picking
up semi-valuable trash off the street and selling it to fund my capsule
toy addiction. I think I'm actually getting as much of Kamurocho as I can
out of my system because I was surprised at how little time I spent in
Tokyo while playing Like a Dragon, and I know that the same thing is about
to happen to Yagami in this story.

Cotton Saturn Tribute (Switch/PS4) - Ordered. Strictly Limited says
they'll have discs and carts out to people by February, which suggests
that they're already made and that they're just hyping up the preorders
more than usual. I remember coveting all these games back in the days when
JPN-region Saturn games were still hot and desirable, so it'll be nice to
have them on a modern console where I can continue to ignore and neglect
them.

Grand Theft Auto 5 (PS4) - story mode. I fully intended to chase down

About five or six, maybe? Half of that time was spent on Virtua Fighter
and Fighting Vipers, and another two hours on just running around picking
up trash to make money. If this is like the last Judgment game, then
Yagami being skint all the time continues to be a plot point and a minor
gameplay distraction.

I get some time to myself this weekend, so maybe I can get into the meat
of the proper game sometime Saturday. Or maybe I just earn XP playing
arcade games instead.
