Am I the only one that opens his legs when riding in really hot
weather, to cool down the essentials?

In Arizona we just tipped water over our nads and t-shirts. When dry,
stopped and did it again.

So many avenues, but I really can't be arsed.

Did similar in Australia. When I got fuel at a road house in the
outback, I just walked into the showers (they always had showers) and
completely soaked everything I was wearing. Would be deliciously cool
for 10 mins, acceptably cool for another 10 mins, and bone dry 10 mins
later
