no  replies. oh well.  :(  anyhoo we went with the Kumho
https://www.kumho.com.au/tyres/passenger/ecowing-es31/ and are very
happy with them. the ride is quiet, and softer than the michelins, which
is what was wanted. the tyre dealer said inflation should be 36 to 38
psi, which is higher than I'm used to. however, looking on the net that
seems to be a common tyre pressure for tyres these days.

LOL, if I'd seen the original post I would have recommended Michelin.
The Michelin Primacy on my Benz are brilliant, excellent grip in all
conditions, very quiet and a great ride.
I always use the pressures as listed on the cars tyre sticker, 36-38 is
way too high for a very light car like the Honda City unless its fully
loaded and doing a very long trip.

well thanks for that anyway. I thought it was too high. I'm thinking 34
psi would be about right, but I'll have to check the tyre sticker.

It must be difficult for Felix to appreciate that not even the "buddies"
who's arses he licks on a daily basis give enough of a fuck about
anything he has to say to bother replying to him.

What a sad cunt of a thing he is :)

That's because you are in his kill file. IE He doesn't see your posts
normally. I couldn't be bothered helping as 1. You have never taken good
advice, 2. You take every opportunity to snipe and abuse me that you
can, and 3. I don't care.

As for your tyre pressures, on the door post of the car or in the owners
manual will be the recommended tyre pressures for the vehicle with
loaded and empty pressures. These are cold pressures. The tyre sidewall
will also have it's maximum inflation pressure on it. See if you can
work out what it should be. Hint.... It's probably not the maximum
inflation pressure or above...

So why the fuck did you ask if the pressures are okay then. Read the
fucking manual or look on the door jamb and see what it recommends. FFS
surely if you know it you apply the knowledge you have and don't ask
stupid questions.

Sheesh some people...

Consider he charges $40 p/h labour in that amateur unqualified shitshow
of his... so how long do you reckon it would take for him to bodge up
that exhaust?

$100... what a fucking clown.

Remember when he got told by *everyone* that his tyres were fucked and
that timing belts did indeed have a finite life and needed to be changed
at regular intervals?

Remember how he told everyone they were wrong and we laughed and laughed?

Could be worse Fraudster!

He could be a really, really "sad cunt of a thing" and resort to inventing
a never-ending stream of self-glorifying fictions.

I took it to a legitimate exhaust place and they stopped up the holes
with some gunk for nix. they had quoted to replace the complete exhaust,
as other parts were rusting too, but at the time I was thinking of
trading the car so it wasn't worth the cost. so the plan was just to
make a temporary fix, then later if I decided to keep the car they would
replace what they needed to in the exhaust system.

originally quoted for replacement
