Interesting. I didn't see that one in the queue but I got a Yes
Minister sketch on education policy and immediately after, another on
being indiscrete in front of a live microphone. I guess it all depends
on our previous YouTube histories - and yes, I also lose a lot of
hours by watching the next.. and the next.. and the next item in the
YouTube queue!

I once suggested to my MP (for whom I would never vote) that it was his job
to represent every resident of his constituency. He seemed surprised.
Maybe people who didn't vote for them don't tend to petition their own MP?

I do and get polite replies thanking me for my email. And then he
toes the party (Tory) line.

Ours (at that time John Redwood) came to the door one evening and the
conversation didn’t go well; I explained that I was not impressed with his
party’s performance. Some time later, I had occasion to speak to him when
he was our representative in Westminster; I explained that I had not voted
for him but, I had a matter and wanted resolving - it took quite some time,
but, eventually, he did have the matter resolved. Mine dew, I never did
vote for him whilst he represented this constituency.
