There's a lot like that these days. The shape and positioning of a lot
of exhaust systems is such that condensation tends to pool in certain
areas and the effect is to prematurely corrode those areas while the
rest of the exhaust system is in perfect condition. In such cases it's
good idea to repair those small damaged sections rather than replace the
whole component.

Water/condensate *always* pools at the *bottom* of the muffler Darren,
gravity ya know? If it's pooling, the drain holes are blocked. Unblock them.
