Anyone seen this yet? We have a couple of clematis which in previous
years have suffered very early on, but nothing so far this year.

Old blue one of ours half died, but it's up and flowering again. A
white one grew strongly, just showing buds, seems to have died
completely, no sign of it. Also got one suffering from mildew rather
badly. Over the years I've lost quite a few to wilt.

We bought a new one last year, and it just died after a few months, the
summer had hardly got going.

This year it's doing splendidly! Don't know where it was the rest of the
summer.

After a couple of years of average to poor flowering, we had a clematis
go dormant for almost two years then suddenly appear. It's now three
years on and flowering better than ever.

Its weird. I've been trying to get at least one Fuschia established.
They always die over the winter, except the one that seemed dead last
year has appeared lustily sprouting branches whereas the one I planted
last year seems utterly dead

Apropos nothing in particular, I have discovered that deer like rose
shoots and cordylines, and ripping the bark of sumach trees

The biggest threat to humanity comes from socialism, which has utterly
diverted our attention away from what really matters to our existential
survival, to indulging in navel gazing and faux moral investigations
into what the world ought to be, whilst we fail utterly to deal with
what it actually is.

Most "Clematis Wilt" is nothing more than something upsetting the apple
cart, they will grow back strongly, problem is will the slugs/snails let
them, doing something to combat these can make all the difference
