Is the United Australia Party the former Palmer United Party?
Why should I or anyone vote for them?
They are advertising heavily so that made me a bit curious.

If you don't vote for UAP the other Lobbyist controlled oligarchies
Coalition, Labor, "Greens" will remain.
Their snout and trotters in trough instead of Clive Palmers.
Sounds like a breath of fresh air, go on, put your number 1 in their
ballot paper.
Give you a good nights sleep.

Clive bangs on about our huge debt, that will take 250 years to pay off.
But he wants to cut fuel excise forever, and lower taxes for anybody

**Sure. Palmer has made a lot of money off the backs of his

Freedom from what, exactly?

"Our" Media and Major parties are run by lobbyists

Lobbyists write the laws, parliament sells the laws,
paid lucrative commissions for passing their laws.
That’s the modern legislative business of parliament.

When we talk about paying-off politicians in third-world
countries we call it bribery.
However, when we undertake the same process in parliament.
we call it lobbying.

Thanks for all your replies.
My wonder is that the chap has no chance, so why bother.
Is it, like, an opportunistic B team for either major party to catch the undecided votes for preference?
(There are so many fringe parties, wasted votes, etc. that could be used.)
And then get payment in some form?
Or a genuine desire to have a third party? The Democrats do not seem to be around, so an alternative.

Completely stupid to do that when those who want our natural gas want
natural gas. Ethanol is useless for power generation or heating houses.

Makes no sense, much more viable to use the natural gas as it is.

Makes no sense with a vast world over supply of steel.

Bullshit he would. He didn't the last time, didn't even show up in
parliament.

Did Palmer really propose that? Just another sound-bite that sounds plausible to the morons he is targetting. Creating alcohol or petrol from natural gas needs a lot of energy, so burning gas just to create something to burn later.
Gas from the well is separated into methane, ethane, propane, butane. Methane -> LNG, ethane -> chemical feedstock, propane+butane -> LPG. What we do with it now is most sensible option.

Yes Palmer has critised Goverment for not doing this.
There is a shortage of iron ore, he believes we are the threat to
China in supply, we can raise the price.

Just expensive to build Ethanol to Petrol plant, very little energy
required, Ethanol to petrol is high pressure through a Catalyst
(molecular filter)

Methane is the major component of natural gas, the other components
are easily separated

If in doubt kick them out!
Politician's are nothing more than a con game in insincerity!

Charlatanism is a necessary price of political freedom and if
a self-proclaimed politician, persuades others to believe in
a party which propounds, lack of sincerity or integrity on
the parties part, but is not incompatible with the parties
character or their beliefs, practices and observances and
being accepted by their voters, why not?

ALWAYS Vote oligarchies Coalition, Labor, "Greens"
*LAST*, Federal State and Council!

He's ego tripping. That was obvious with the shit he got up to with covid.

Nope, it's just Palmer ego tripping.

Nope, nothing he gets from running goes anywhere near
what it is costing him in advertising, even if he does get elected.

Nope, just ego tripping.

Because they imploded spectacularly.

There are plenty of others like One Notion and the Greens.

**Palmer has form. He wants the COALition to win, so his advertising is
primarily aimed at denigrating Labor and the Greens. He is trying to win
the balance of power.

**Nope. Palmer is, like Trump, bent on destroying the status quo.
Fundamentally, Palmer wants to do business cheaper and with less tax
implications. He is a greedy cunt who only cares about himself.
