Probably the old "White guilt", same thing which is driving youths
to suck up to Hamas etc., the same Hamas which views them as
decadent, stupid, weak, non-Muslim human garbage.

Maybe "Noble Savage" worship", God knows.

The good news is that most grow out of this insanity when they
become older.
