Its certainly not that important, but it is only Labor that
saddles us with stupidity like the NDIS, just so that fool
Gillard has some 'legacy' that she can claim.

That's overstated with the NDIS and before that the carbon tax
and before that when Hawke and Keating pulled the plug on
tariffs and before that with Medibank and Whitlam's stupidity
of no uni fees.

Yeah, like the difficulty of storing hydrogen and

I don't, pumped hydro makes a lot more sense where it is possible.

Vancouver-based zero-emission vehicle company First Hydrogen says it
will start testing its first demonstrator fuel cell electric vehicle
(FCEV) in June. The Canadian business is working with compatriot fuel
cell manufacturer Ballard Power Systems and with Austrian-owed
automotive company AVL Powertrain UK. “We are substantially on track
to showcase our road-going vehicles with customers in September 2022,
as originally planned,” said Steve Gill, chief executive for
automotive at First Hydrogen, last week. “Our joint development of
this hydrogen fuel cell vehicle will set us apart as a market leader
for fuel cell vehicles in the light-commercial space.”

The support of Rod-types - extraordinary arseholes, amazing that way - should crush any decent and worthy person, but then politics is just that. Nothing principled.
So no one is more worthy than ScoMo and Albanese for the top post, for no other names are in sight.
Well, that makes us more fortunate than those led by a senile old fool with a hyaena in tow.
And much, much more fortunate than those lead by a comedian turned tragedian.
We gotta count our blessings.

Green energy is by definition free to all, forever and non-polluting.

In about 100 years, or 200,, the world will implement the HTN for getting unlimited energy everywhere. And pure water from sea or brackish water as a bonus.

Slowly but steadily the world is understanding the benefits shown in
Htnresearch.com
for the steady implementation of the Hydrogen economy. Piping hydrogen at steady pressure in lossless by design steel tubes, and connected to storage buffers to take care of local surpluses and deficits of production, thus providing smoothing in power distribtion.
-
My paper at the SMART2015 conference in Kuwait to promote the HTN was well received.

Progress on the hydrogen front has been steady, despite the negativity of the battery-crazed Musk types. Lithium batteries are bad, for so many reasons.

It will take a great leader to do that, go directly for the hydrogen economy using the HTN, that will solve the storage and transport ptoblem of hydrogen in one stroke.

Only a popular dictator like Hitler or Stalin or Mao could go for it. No chance in a bad democratic system: lazy, fake, mediocre at best and corrupt, with no ideals except grab. Also, very stupid and mean, run by shady lots, represented by clowns and fools who will start disasters given the chance.

Batteries should never even be considered for any high power consistent use, but there you go!

For a Genghis Khan, no sweat about seeing the beauty of the HTN and immediately going for it.

But we have Greta instead whom all will consider to be better!

May hope never die!

Cheers,

Neither should hydrogen. Nukes do that FAR better.

No there will still be upkeep and installation cost. That and the
power grid need upkeep also.

Nope, because the problem is that it is a bugger to store
and has a massive savety problem because the air to
hydrogen mixes which will explode has a massive range.

Nope, not with either.

The problem with storage is that it is such a tiny
molecule that it gets thru anything and the pressure
needed to liquify it is so high that you need very strong
cylinders to keep enough of it in for emergency use.

Pity about the cost for such a rare event. A generator makes
much more sense and lasts forever in that situation.

Pity about the cost of that compared with a used generator.

And a generator will last much longer than that.

Both, originally 2010 bottle Hydrogen was the direction as a fuel.
Electric cars gained dominance
Now with Lavo it may or may not replace existing electric batteries
https://ecoprofit.com.au/aussie-battery-lavo-a-review/
Look at the picture below
https://ecoprofit.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/blog-240221-4-e1614160299680.jpg
The guy with blue shirt is holding 2, 500 PSI hydrogen cylinders.
The Wall battery shows 3 of these H2 cylinders (Red with handles)
plugged into wall battery, easy to unplug for Lavo car battery.
Yes Hydrogen is potentially explosive, but so are EV batteries which
cannot be put out.
In Australia Natural gas does not smell so a "stink odour" (Ethyl
Mercaptan) is added to gas so it can be detected long before it will
catch fire.

Nope, just more mindless greenshit.

Because hydrogen isnt viable for cars.

No way to get anything like enough into a car to get
anywhere near competing with petrol and diesel in a car.

No chance, still can't get anywhere near enough hydrogen
into a car to provide anything like the range needed.

Nothing like enough to power a car for any significant distance.
Natural gas or LPG leaves it for dead, essentially because they
liquify at much more viable pressures.

But useless volume wise.

A trivial leak is a problem with hydrogen. Nothing like that with ev
batterys.

That's a lie too.

And the mixture with air that will explode is vastly smaller than with
hydrogen.

You do not believe that the power systems will need upkeep, so the
power isn't free. You also don't believe the power grid will need
repair and maintenance and that there is a cost to the power that you
will see on your bills?
