Why was the leaders' 'debate' aired on FOX?

Such a move ensures that the 'debate' can only be seen by idiots (no one
with any intelligence subscribes to FOX).

Why was the 'debate' not aired on ABC, where it could be viewed by the
majority of Aussies?
