If interest rates should be 6% in 5 years, then wouldn't the banks go
broke? Unless the government prints money to give the banks.

Why would banks "go broke"? They didn't "go broke" when interest rates
were 18% so why do you think they will "go broke" at 6%?

If banks are charging 6% interest, they will have borrowed it at a much
lower rate than that and make a profit When they re-lend it to customers.

Yes they set their own rates, and that rate is always higher than the RBA rate !!!!

Repeating that mindless pig ignorant shit changes nothing.

> if the RBA interest rate goes up. the commercial banks will make more $,
> versus if the RBA rate is low !!!!

Wrong, as always, they set their own rates and what money
they make depends on the margin between what they charge
and what they pay and that has nothing to do with RBA rates.

> Yes they set their own rates, and that rate is always higher than the
> RBA rate !!!!

Irrelevant to whether the money they make is higher at higher RBA rates.

Looks like you are so freaking dumb that I won't explain any further why or how the banks make more money when the RBA rates are high vs. lower RBA rates.

You never could bullshit your way out of a wet paper bag.

The money the banks make is determined by the difference in
the interest rate they pay and the interest rate they charge, not
the RBA rate, fuckwit.

Fuck you are dumb!

READ what McCoy wrote!

You clearly didn't understand what he wrote! He AGREES with YOUR
comment that the banks set their own rates!!!!!!!!

What you don't understand is that bank rates will ALWAYS be higher than
the RBA rates due to MONETARY POLICY and so McCoy's comment is
correct!!!! Stop being a silly old fool and go and read up on monetary
policy!

> Looks like you are so freaking dumb that I won't explain any further why or how the banks make more money when the RBA rates are high vs. lower RBA rates.

Yep. It's a waste of time trying to explain to Spud. He's trying to
challenge pretzel for the position of village idiot of this group.
Sadly monetary policy and how it works is beyond the Spud's level of
understanding.

Monetary policy has NOTHING to do with how much money the
