Why do I get infuriated by the Goggles4U adverts on YouTube? I'm not
easily angered, but I have to restrain myself from throwing something at
the screen.

Whenever I start a youtube presentation, my eye is concentrating on the
tiny little graphic that indicates the moment I can ‘skip’ the ad. Of
course, the nuggers have become even craftier on some presentations now and
they can be skipped. I still look at that corner - don’t listen and wait
for the annoyance to go away - advert? Wot advert???

I just use youtube-dl to download it and watch off-line. Thank you to
all the people who play the adverts and make this possible.

David, as there seems to be a few offerings in the app shop, please could
you tell me (if you are using an app that works in IOS) which particular
one you are using please? I am wary of just downloading the first app I
come across as I wish to avoid inviting lots of carp to my iPad….

I use two different browsers to watch YouTube.

On one I am 'logged in', and get 'served' lots of nice adverts before I
can start the video - and some are inserted into the body of the video
at (around) 5 minute intervals. What fun.

On the other browser I am not logged in and hence see absolutely _no_
adverts whatsoever. The only drawback is that I cannot 'subscribe',
'like', nor save anything to 'watch later' etc.
I recommend this measure to the house.
