I put my UK cards into the post during the last week of October. I'd
like to say that I had prior knowledge of the current debacle but I
didn't. As well as being the Mother of Invention, Necessity was also
the inspiration for my extremely early posting dates.

Is it too early to hijack this thread and wish everybody a happy and
peaceful Christmas? I might not get another opportunity until after it
is all over.

- maybe it was elsewhere...
I got a card from Niles today, posted on 23rd (I think). He has been
posting before Christmas since he quit school teaching.

I'm still vaguely expecting one from Tasmania, though Bro#2 may have
stopped sending them, he's been gallivanting in a new-to-him
mini-motorhome, rather than his usual bicycle+tiny-tent.

We're still having one or two Christmas cards trickling in.

Much to our astonishment, we managed to post all ours before the
(revised) posting dates, both UK and international. I'm not sure if we
have ever achieved that before.

We are not really expecting a card from Tasmania because even though
my sister posted it ages ago she has addressed it here and that sort
of post just never seems to get through these days.

The only dependable, uninterrupted international deliveries seem to be
from The Book Depository. They always seem to get through..

....eventually.

But at least they do get through.

It occurs to me that, although the letter was dated 22/11, we have no
