During the week, we had a morning without any network - I reset modem, MESH
and individual devices but at best we had a very flakey 5-10% of normal
broadbean for a few minutes before it sang bye-bye again. Eventually, in
the afternoon, I contacted VOTR via my phobile and spent a good half hour
getting matters resolved - during which I found that the technician I had
been passed onto could see our modem but because I had it set as a modem
and not a router, he could not diagnose the problem. He requested to reset
my modem to router mode to work on the problem (which I agreed to as long
as he changed it back after sorting out the problem - to which he
reluctantly agreed). He then fiddled for a while and then informed me he
was changing the SSID - after which things returned to a working state -
but I still found him reluctant to reset to modem mode until I explained I
had a very good MESH system set up and wished to continue that way.

During all this down-time, I did not even have a working ethernet
connection - never mind wifi; has anyone an idea as to what they may have
done wrong in the first place please? He informed me he was putting my
system on a watch list with their IT boys for 48 hours just in case of
further problems.
