Opposite at my kid's school.

The doors are usually removed by the students, and little ever gets done
about it because the teachers have a "policy" not to enter the toilet
blocks. I haven't been able to find out exactly why that is, but "best
guess" is that teachers are fearful of a sexual misconduct allegation,
and so consider the toilets "off limits".

As a result, the toilets are the place to be if you want to vape, take
part in wilful damage parties, beat someone up or generally engage in
anything untoward or illegal safe in the knowledge that no teacher will
ever walk in and bust you for it.
