Well, at any rate you can’t escape certain songs from it. But there are of course some obscurities too, and what seems like a lot of singles having a second bite of the cherry. And it was the FA Cup Final yesterday.

Nick Kamen isn’t here in person but a song from the advert that made him famous is. Well, sort of because they used a knock-off version for the ad itself, but it was the original that got reissued.

Playlists here. “Unfortunately “ the Number One is not on Spotify.

I thought I'd remember fewer than this.

Two of the very few acts I have seen live are in this chart.

This was at Swansea University. Swansea was something of a backwater on
the touring circuit and some months before they had booked this obscure
band called Doctor and the Medics. By the time they actually played they
were at no.1. It was quite a coup for them to have them play there, I
doubt they had ever hosted a no.1 act before and probably haven't since.

> 30 (20) Simple Minds - All The Things She Said

The archetypal 80s 'stadium rock' band. Although I saw them at the
Milton Keynes Bowl which wasn't really a 'stadium' as such but I got the
general idea....
